They Said He Could Not Learn

This is my middle son Malik he had suffered from many learning challenges in public school. Not being able to read has really hindered his learning. They labelled him everything but a learner. So I pulled him out and decided to home educate him. My baby is making great progress. I gave him an assessment and he can read over 120 words now.  They said he would never write or read in cursive well he can. They said he could only do single digit addition well he is doing double digit and some multiplication. He can also comprehend and has good expressive language. God is really doing great things in his life.

  5. It's wonderful that your son is thriving at home and that you were able to remove him from such a negative environment. Labeling children and telling them they aren't capable of something is terrible. All too often it makes them think they can't! What a horrible thing to teach a child, especially when the school may be the problem. Congrats to the two of you!!
